Polo Masters - Sunday 11th May 2008

Sunday 11th of May will see the crowds gathering to be part of the premier Polo event of the year - the Masters Tournament at Hurtwood Park.

The Polo Masters is a high Goal tournament at 18 Goals and attracts a stellar host of celebrities, wealthy patrons and world-class players and continues to grow in popularity. The last event was a resounding success and spectator figures were in excess of 7,000 on the day. We are aiming to top 10,000 spectators this year which will include a host of well-know faces, including some of polo's greatest players from around the world. Added to which is a prize fund of £50,000 which is not only unique but a first in the history of British Polo.

The day will consist of the final of the Polo Masters Tournament in which two teams will play against each other at this exclusive gathering - few venues achieve such a perfect balance between spectating and socialising, which is the traditional atmosphere of Polo.

The event will receive the full attention of the world's press - as well as international journalists in attendance, media outlets in 20 different countries will be covering the event, including SKY Sports, Europe's ESPN and Fox USA/Latin America.

SKY Sports will be airing the event from start to finish, to be shown in special broadcasts reaching an average of five million prime-time viewers. This level of international coverage for a Polo event is unprecedented and marks the arrival of Masters Polo at Hurtwood Park as the premier Polo event in the world.

And the weathers set to be a scorcher - what more could you ask for? See you there.
